  My daughter was in the Store in The Dalles (at 1pm on 4/17/18) to get a new phone as her prior one stopped working. As the account holder they had to call me as I was out of town and not with her. To upgrade we needed to pay off her prior phone to allow the early upgrade. When I tried to pay on the phone the customer representative became very unprofessional in handling the situation. When I tried to make a comment about paying she said “I’m not going to argue with you. If you want to pay off the phone you need to call customer service. “
  When I stated I was making a recommendation to improve the company she stated ”I’ve been her 5 ½ years and that’s our policy. When you’ve paid off the phone you can call us back at the number I called you from”.
  Now, I don’t know if this is a company store or franchise location. But I’ve been in customer service related industries for over 30 years and I would not have a representative of my company on the front line if they had this type of attitude and lack of proper customer relationship skills. If they were a good employee they would be put back through proper training or placed in a non-public contact position.
  I’ve been with US Cellular for 20 years. I’ve been through numerous customer service experiences with many individuals in your company. This one is the first to make me question why I should stay with US Cellular. Regardless of price and product differences, CUSTOMER SERVICE is what gives a company sustainability. Poor customer service will drive me away from a company. Consumers have a choice, so remember you need us more than we need you.
