  My three children love going to the discovery center! They play dress up in the children's section and look for their favorite exhibits.
  
  Do try to plan your visit so that you can see the raptors. My five year old son loves learning about the birds and peppers me with questions. "What's the difference between monocular vision and binocular vision? Why does mouse pee glow blue to kestrels? Where do eagles love?"
  
  There's a very pleasant picnic area right outside, and stunning views of the gorge. From the center you can access the riverfront trail and walk all the way to the other end of town, if you feel like a seven mile hike! The trail is quite lovely though.
